About Preston Community Transport

Preston Community Transport is a small charity based in Lancashire, England.

They provide safe, considerate and accessible transport to people in Preston and South Ribble who can't use regular public transport for a variety of reasons and to other non-profit groups.

They combat loneliness and isolation in urban and rural areas of central Lancashire, helping to keep people active, engaged in their communities and contribute positively to their health & well-being.

Preston Community Transport do this through a combination of accessible minibuses, volunteers personal cars, MPVs and mobility scooters. They have a small staff team including admin and driving staff as well as approximately 45 volunteers who drive the minibuses, run the Shopmobility service and drive their own cars helping hundreds of people in and around Preston and South Ribble to get out of the house and access services, go on days out and get shopping.

Based in the centre of Preston, where they run the Shopmobility service from, they coordinate the transport needs of over 1,000 people in Preston and South Ribble with our full range of services and provide volunteer car schemes in Fylde, Wyre and Lancaster district.
