The Lancashire Armed Forces Covenant Hub

Address: University of Central Lancashire, Fylde Road, , Preston, PR1 2HE, Lancashire

Lancashire's Armed Forces Covenant Hub is based at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and was opened in July 2018 after initial funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.

Lancashire County Council have pledged to provide further funding securing the partnership and its outputs to support the Armed Forces Covenant in Lancashire.

The Hub remains a partnership between Lancashire County Council, Army Headquarters North West, the NHS (Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust) and UCLan. For practical reasons the Hub is based alongside The College of Military Veterans and Emergency Services (CMVES), also within the university.

About The Lancashire Armed Forces Covenant Hub

The Hub aims to improve the delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant by working with all the local authorities within Lancashire, ensuring the covenant is both understood and honoured.

The Hub and its partners take on a coordination role, working closely with local authority armed forces champions and lead officers as well as key stakeholders from the public and charity sectors.

Outputs are delivered across the following themes:

  • education
  • employment
  • health
  • housing
  • wellbeing
  • welfare support.

As well as working to improve the delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant across Lancashire by the local authorities, the Hub will also work to improve the services provided to the armed forces community by charities and CIC's helping them to access funding streams and improving their sustainability and governance structures.

The Hub can and does work with individuals where they feel they have been treated unfairly under the terms of the armed forces covenant. If you think the hub can help you, visit the contact section on Lancashire County Council's website - Contact the Armed Forces Covenant Hub.
