The Blue Flamingo Cafe & Community Hub is a place to meet new people and catch up with old friends for a chat and brew in a dementia friendly community space with locations in Ashton, Fulwood and Penwortham.
The cafe and Community Hub is an inclusive group whose aim is to provide a warm and welcoming space for people to socialise and access support in a familiar, friendly setting. They provide opportunities for friends and loved ones to connect through creative activities, music and singing. Who specialise in offering support to those living with dementia and their carers by helping them to link with others who share similar experiences.
The three Hubs across Preston
Ashton
- Location and Address - St Michael's Church Hall, Egerton Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, PR2 1AJ
- Day and Time - Tuesdays from 1pm - 3pm
Fulwood
- Our Lady's and St Edward's Parish Centre, Marlborough Drive, Fulwood, PR2 9UE
- Day and Time - 4th Thursday from 1pm - 3pm (24 October, 28 November, no session in December 2024)
This session is dementia friendly, offered on a donation only basis with everyone welcome and no booking required.
Penwortham
- St Teresa's Parish Centre, Queensway Drive, Penwortham PR1 0DS
- Day and Time - Wednesdays from 12.30pm - 2pm

Am I a Caregiver?
Please join Blue Flamingo's Community Hub for a drop-in workshop series for people who are (or think they may soon be) caring for a loved one, friend or neighbour.
Sessions include:
- Information and idea sharing
- Peer support
- Dementia awareness
- Food and refreshments
- Activities for children

Sessions are available between Thursday 12 September to 17 October, 5.30pm - 8.30pm.
