St Bernard's Community Hub

St Bernard's Community Hub is a registered charity (CIO) catering primarily for residents in the Larches, Savick and Lea area, where anyone and everyone is welcome.

We are the only facility of its kind in the west of Preston and came into being in 2022.

When the former St Bernard's Church and latterly the St Bernard's Function Suite closed down, the building was in danger of being vandalised and lost to the community. After much negotiating, the charity was formed and was given a lease by the Lancaster Roman Catholic Diocese.

Since then, the charity has endeavoured to bring on board more Trustees and volunteers in order to provide a welcoming environment for the community to meet, socialise, participate in a range of activities, find support and help each other. It's a slow process and volunteers who are able to help organise or supervise events and take care of the venue are always welcome.

We have an active Facebook Group and a website where people can find out "What's On" and book the venue for private hire.
