Holiday activities for kids
Holiday Activities and Food - Easter Programme 2025
Funded by the Department for Education, holiday club places in Preston are funded for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals in the summer, Easter and Christmas holidays. There are also paid for places available for families that are not eligible for a funded place.
We want children to have fun over the holidays and encourage parents or guardians to book places on their chosen club as soon as they can.
About the scheme
HAF is for children and young people who are:
- In reception class to year 11
- Entitled to benefits related Free School Meals
- Not on FSM but who but have another kind of vulnerability, inquire at your school for more information.
At Easter you will be able to book 4-days (minimum of 4 hours) of activities, including a free meal. HAF Vouchers should be sent to parents by email or text-message.
Holiday Activities and Food Vouchers
If eligible, you will be able to book places online using your child's specific HAF Voucher code sent via text and email. This will be sent from hello@holidays who Lancashire County Council have commissioned to send out the vouchers.
Vouchers are automatically sent to parents if your child is eligible, so there is no need to apply.
The vouchers will be issued by your child's school and sent to the contact phone number or email on their records. If you did not receive your voucher, please contact your child's school to update this information.
The e-voucher will be a 16-digit code and will have a link to the Lancashire County Council web page. From there you can go to your district HAF site, choose a club and book places for your child using the 16-digit HAF code at the bottom of the voucher.
If you live in a different district, contact CFW-HAF@lancashire.gov.uk to transfer the voucher.
If you transferred a voucher in the previous holiday period, the transfer will remain in place, and vouchers will be issued in that district for the next holiday.
Please note that places at our clubs are limited and fill up quickly. Only book a place at a HAF club if you intend to use it, and kindly cancel your booking if you change your mind. This consideration ensures that another child can attend if your child cannot.
