Soundskills is based at Brookfield community and offer a variety of projects and self-help groups. Including:
- Absolutely Everybody kids club
- Creative Routes art group
- Monday music
- Brookie offbeat Samba group
- Creative crafting.
Job Club
Soundskills hold a job club every Friday between 1pm and 4pm in a relaxed and friendly environment.
They offer personalised support on all aspects of searching for, finding, and securing work. This can include setting up email accounts, improving I.T. skills, C.V compilation, interview techniques, and creating video profiles to send to prospective employers, regardless on skill levels and abilities.
Soundskills pride themselves in offering friendly emotional support and encouragement.
The Alison project
The alison project has been operational on the Brookfield estate since 1994 and working from the Soundskills building since 2002.
The alison project specialise in using the creative process as a tool for development.
Creative community development is our way of ensuring that while we use creative processes and often produce creative product, the number one value that we hold is that we are in service to local people.
WhiteLab
Whitelab offers people the chance to write, produce and record their own music in a high-end studio, using industry standard equipment, culminating in high quality recordings ready for market.
