About OCD Action

OCD Action provide support and information to anybody affected by OCD.

Working to raise awareness of the disorder amongst the public and front-line healthcare workers, and strive to secure a better deal for people with OCD.

OCD Action is recognised as a strong voice for people with OCD, a vital source of help and the Charity that makes a real and lasting difference to anyone affected by OCD.

OCD Action Vision

OCD Action vision is for a society where OCD is better understood and diagnosed quickly, where appropriate treatment options are open and accessible, where support and information are readily available and where nobody feels ashamed to ask for help.

OCD Action Support

We all know how isolating OCD can be, it can make you feel trapped and cut off from the rest of the world.

Finding the right support and building up a support network can make a massive difference, it can give you the tools and the strength to fight back and make you feel that you are not facing OCD on your own.

  • OCD Action helpline and email service - a confidential and unbiased service offering help, information and support for people with OCD, carers and anyone who is concerned that they, or their friends or relatives, may have OCD or a related disorder.
  • Skype, phone, zoom support groups - OCD Action run a range of Skype/Phone support groups which provide an informal and supportive environment to share experiences and to offer encouragement to each other.
  • OCD Youth - OCD Youth website is especially for young people, their parents and teachers. On this site you can download information and resources, join online forums and meet other young people with OCD.
  • Next Steps - if you are about to start attending CBT with ERP, you can be paired up with a helpline volunteer, who will give you a few calls at keys stages of the therapy.
  • Forums - a supportive community for people affected by the OCD spectrum of anxiety disorders, one where you can share your thoughts openly and honestly with people who understand.
  • Local Independent Support Groups - groups can play an important role during and after treatment in helping you recover from and manage your OCD and often they also include family members too.
  • Carers - supporting a person with OCD can be very difficult but OCD Action can help.
  • Support OCD Action - OCD Action is a lifeline for thousands of people affected by OCD and with your support, can reach out to thousands more who desperately need our help.
