The Harris

The Harris wants to be more welcoming for young people. By doing things and create things like projects, workshops, events and sometimes exhibitions based on what we want.

The Harris is currently closed due to refurbishment, for more information visit The Harris - Exciting plans for The Harris when it re-opens in 2024.

The Harris library and IT services will be available for all in its new 'home from home' in the Guild Hall.

We are HYPe (The Harris Young Producers Europe)

HYPe are a group of young creatives who meet every Wednesday at The Harris and over lockdown, via Zoom.

They are currently working on 'The Preston Project' which is based in one of the Harris' exhibition spaces and virtually online. It's all about exploring what heritage means to young people and diverse groups in Preston.

The Harris wants to be more welcoming for young people like us and so we do things and create things like projects, workshops, events and sometimes exhibitions based on what we want.

The vibe is: no parents or guardians please! 

For once we do what we want, when we want and with whoever we want!

We get support and guidance from the Harris to explore subjects we are into. We use the arts to express ourselves better and to give us the confidence to be who we really want to be.

We usually meet once or twice a month for projects and try to programme more one off stuff every couple of months. It's up to you, come and go or come and keep coming!
