The Calico resettlement team work closely with refugee families to provide person centred support plans in a trauma informed way.  

Signposting Drop-In Service

The Calico resettlement team offer assistance to refugee families as they find a home across Lancashire, taking people-centred approach and ensuring that they prioritise what matters most to each person and support them in achieving their desired outcomes.

Services Provided

Calico aim is to help Refugees integrate into the UK and live sustainable, productive and healthy lives.

The drop-in service provide support that will help refugees adjust to life in the UK, such as; 

• Health
• Education
• Employment
• Volunteering
• Benefits
• Housing
• Community activities

When does the drop-in service take place?

Every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm at Plungington Community Centre, Brook Street, PR1 7NB.

Who Calico help

Refugees are referred to Calico by local authorities and they provide support for any refugees eligible under the UK Home Office resettlement schemes. These schemes include: 

• The Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) 
• UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS) 
• Homes for Ukraine (HFU)
